Silkair To Fly Five Times A Week To Hyderabad

New Delhi, May 5 Taking over from its parent airline SilkAir, the regional wing of Singapore Airlines, will start its five-day a week operations to Hyderabad from June 15, airline&aposs officials said.
Singapore Airlines, which currently flies to Hyderabad thrice a week, would hand over its operations to SilkAir. The south Indian city is the fourth destination in the county after Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Coimbatore.
“SilkAir&aposs more flights to Hyderabad will help customers expand their travel options as they now have a wider choice of flights a week. The frequency increase on this route will help meet the demands of travellers from around the world to reach this city that is a modern hub of IT and biotechnology,”said Singapore Airlines’ Executive Vice- President ( Marketing and The Regions) Huang Cheng Eng.
The transfer of operations would present customers a wider choice of flight times as SilkAir will offer five times weekly services to Hyderabad for a start.
This will be increased to a daily frequency during the Northern Winter Schedule from 26 October 2009. The flights are subject to governmental approvals and slot availability.
