As has been reported Emirates Airlines via Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) have canceled order Airbus and Boeing aircraft. Cancellation of aircraft orders this disadvantage largest manufacture aircraft of Airbus and Boeing.

Some analysts commented, cancellation of aircraft orders by DAE caused firm faces financial crisis. The financial crisis faced by DAE sourced from internal corporate shareholders. One is a subsidiary the Dubai Government entity, Dubai World which astonished the world financial markets when it asked for its debt payments to be delayed by several months, forcing the conglomerate to seek aid from the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to service some of its $23bn-plus debts.

Emirates Airline to Launch Flights Services to Beijing Using Airbus A380 Aircraft

Emirates airlines has signalled its commitment to support the growing trade and tourism relationship between Kenya and China with the launch of the first scheduled Airbus A380 service to Chinese capital, Beijing.

The world’s largest commercial aircraft landed in the world’s most populous country on August 1, turning a new page in the Chinese Aviation history.

The 517 seat A380 operates as EK 306 departing Dubai daily at 04:10hrs, touching down in Beijing at 15:10hrs. The return flight, EK 307 takes off from Beijing Capital International Airport at 23:55hrs, landing at Terminal 3, Dubai International Airport at 04:20hrs the following day.

Boeing Get Order 92 Aircraft at Farnborough Airshow

Boeing took the wraps off 92 more airliner orders Wednesday at the Farnborough Airshow in the United Kingdom as both domestic and foreign airlines and leasing companies continued their quest for new, efficient capacity.

Boeing, which builds its airliners in Everett and Renton, got orders from American Airlines for 35 more 737-800s to replace its aging fleet mainstay, the MD-80.

By the end of 2012, American will have 195 737-800s in its fleet. The next-generation 737, built in Renton, is 35 percent more fuel efficient than the MD-80.

Emirates Airline Announce to Start Flight Airbus A380 Superjumbo to JFK Airport

Emirates Airline picked a dandy day to announce it would start flying superjumbo jets to John F. Kennedy Airport.

While the feds were raiding suspected terror nests in Long Island, New Jersey and Massachusetts, the airline on which accused Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad tried to make his getaway said Thursday its A380 jet “will make a much anticipated return to New York” this October.

“We promised to return the A380 to New York as soon as demand recovered, and we have been true to our word,” Tim Clark, president of the Dubai-based airline, said in a statement.

Emirates was criticized for allowing Shahzad to buy a ticket to Dubai in cash and board one of its planes – even though he was on a no-fly list maintained by the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Center.

AirAsia X Flights to Melbourne and Perth Using Airbus A330 Aircraft

AirAsia low cost carrier to Melbourne and PerthAirAsia X will operate flights to Melbourne and Perth, with three more Airbus A330 aircraft coming in, as securing routes to Seoul and Sydney are a challenge.

Currently, it is using six A330 and two A340 aircraft.

“For some reasons we are not privileged enough to get some routes. So, we will be adding more flights to Perth and Melbourne and keep pushing Mumbai and New Delhi routes in 2010,” says chief executive officer Azran Osman Rani.

AirAsia X will service the New Delhi route in August.

“However, that doesn’t mean AirAsia X is dropping those routes from its plan, we still want to fly to Seoul, Sydney, Jeddah and to one city in Japan as there is huge demand.

“So, the guys next door are not going to run away from competition as we will keep throwing in more flights in the current routes,” he told reporters after unveiling the budget airline’s premium “Lie-Flat Bed” seats at the Low Cost Carrier Terminal here on Monday. (more…)

Qantas Airways to Investigate Damage Tire of Airbus A380 Landed in Sydney

Qantas Airways Airbus A380 damage tire landed in SydneyAirbus A380 aircraft owned by Qantas Airways was damaged when it landed at Sydney airport. The plane suffered damage to the aircraft tires. When the plane landed ban sparks a worrying issue of passenger aircraft.

Witnesses reported seeing flames and hearing a loud bang as flight QF32 touched down late on Wednesday, while media said two tyres burst. Video footage showed bright flashes from under the plane.

None of the 244 passengers was hurt in the incident, which comes just a day after a Boeing 747 was forced to abort a flight from Sydney to Singapore.

“On landing last night, two tyres were damaged. The aircraft was assessed on the runway by engineers and it was determined it was unable to be towed to the gate,” a Qantas spokeswoman told AFP.

“We have clearly told Airbus that we will not accept again what they did to us with the A380,” Emirates Airlines President Tim Clark told The Daily at the ITB tourism exchange in Berlin. He pointed out that unlike in the case of the A380 – which was two years late – Emirates Airlines has alternatives to buy elsewhere: “All I have to do is pick up the phone and order more Boeing 777s,” Clark stressed. He showed concerns that the schedule could already begin to slip. “We have told Airbus numerous times that in our view they should build in more margin in terms of time and performance parameters, but they wanted to have it their way. Now they are already eating into margins,” Clark criticized.

United Airlines Signs Firm Order for 25 Airbus A350 XWB Aircraft

United Airlines has made a firm order for 25 of Airbus’ A350 extra-wide bodied jets, fulfilling a commitment signed in December, the European aircraft manufacturer said Wednesday.

Deliveries of the 314-seat A350-900s are scheduled to begin in 2016 and run through 2019, Airbus said in a statement.

The order is half of a 50-aircraft order United announced in December, when it also unveiled plans to buy 25 of Airbus’ rival Boeing Co.’s 787 jets.

AirAsia Plans To Extend Flights to India from May 2010

AirAsia, one of the leading no-frills airlines, plans to expand flight route in India. It plans to add four direct flights connecting Bangkok with Kolkata, New Delhi, Amritsar and Mumbai from May this year.

“New Delhi and Mumbai sectors will be serviced by Air Asia X, low cost long haul carrier via new Airbus A330, while Amritsar and Kolkata will be serviced by AirAsia, low cost short haul airline by Airbus A320 aircrafts,” Kathleen Tan, head, (regional head – commercial), AirAsia, told reporters in Mumbai on Tuesday.

United Airlines Places $10 Billion Plane Order

Taking advantage of down market prices, United Airlines said on Tuesday it placed a $10 billion-plus order for 50 wide-bodied jetliners divided between Airbus and Boeing Co, in a bid to slash fuel costs and emissions.

United, a unit of UAL Corp, has letters of intent to order 25 of Boeing’s 787 Dreamliners and the same number of A350 planes from its European rival Airbus, part of EADS, following a six-month contest. The carrier also has future purchase rights for 50 of each aircraft.
