Qatar Airways to Add 14 Flights From Delhi, Amritsar and Cochin Next Month

Gulf-based full service air-carrier, Qatar Airways, on Monday said it will operate 14 additional flights from across Delhi, Amritsar and Cochin from next month.

The frequency of the flights airlines from these stations would be enhanced in a phased manner, starting from Sept 1, a company press release said here.

With an additional 14 flights a week from the three Indian cities, the total mumber of services to-and-from India offered by Qatar Airways would go up to 88 flights a week– representing a 20 per cent increase in frequency.

“Taking into account the new upcoming frequencies, we are enhancing capacity from India from 56 to 88 services a week,” Qatar Airways, Chief Executive Officer, Akbar Al Baker, said.

Effective from September 1, the Amritsar-Doha flight will operate as a daily flight from the present four days a week, the release said.

Similarly, the airline would operate four flights a week on the Cochin-Doha route in addition to the the daily flight, the release said, adding two flights of the additional four flights would commence from September 1 and the remaining two from November 5.
