Virgin America Start Direct Flight From Orlando International Airport to Los Angeles and San Francisco

Virgin America announced this morning that it will start direct flights from Orlando International Airport to both Los Angeles and San Francisco starting August 19.
The two-year old airline, affiliated with Virgin Atlantic that now brings thousands of British tourists into Orlando, also announced introductory one-way air fares start start at $149 to LA and $199 to Frisco.
The new Orlando to California routes were among several changes the company announced, including new service between Toronto and California.
Currently, only United Airlines provides direct service between Orlando and San Francisco, while several carriers β United, American Airlines and Delta Air Lines β provide direct flights between Orlando and Los Angeles. Read more
AirAsia Plans To Extend Flights to India from May 2010

AirAsia, one of the leading no-frills airlines, plans to expand flight route in India. It plans to add four direct flights connecting Bangkok with Kolkata, New Delhi, Amritsar and Mumbai from May this year.
βNew Delhi and Mumbai sectors will be serviced by Air Asia X, low cost long haul carrier via new Airbus A330, while Amritsar and Kolkata will be serviced by AirAsia, low cost short haul airline by Airbus A320 aircrafts,β Kathleen Tan, head, (regional head – commercial), AirAsia, told reporters in Mumbai on Tuesday.
