Pittsburgh International Airport To Get $800K For Green Lighting

Pittsburgh International Airport has received an $800,000 grant to install “green” LED lighting at its parking lots, Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato announced Monday.
The grant, from the Pensylvania Energy Development Authority, will allow the Allegheny County Airport Authority to replace 1,471 existing lights with high-efficiency LED fixtures in the long term and extended parking lots, and the three-level parking garage, according to a release from Onorato’s office.
