Sojern, the first company to bring customized, destination-oriented content to travelers on airline boarding passes, today announced its partnership with US Airways.
Destination-specific advertising and travel information provided by Sojern will be available via US Airways’ online and printed boarding passes for all 155 domestic destinations starting this month. Sojern’s proprietary technology provides US Airways’ passengers who check in at www.usairways.com a wide range of useful content including weather reports, restaurant options, activities and special discounts on both their online and printed boarding passes.

You May Need to Change Flight Plan Weekend With British Airways

If you’re booked for a British Airways flight this weekend from BWI you may need to change your plans. A strike by BA’s cabin crew is set for three days beginning Saturday. British Airways officials say flights from Baltimore to London Heathrow will operate as usual on Saturday, but are canceled for Sunday and Monday. Travelers may be able to reschedule with partner airlines that have agreed to help during the strike by allowing passengers on canceled flights to rebook at no charge.
The cabin crew union, Unite, has also called for a second strike beginning March 27. The union is protesting pay freezes and other changes to working conditions. The Associated Press reported today that Unite is seeking support from American unions. Read more
Expanding Daily Flights : Jetblue Airways Increases Flights Nonstop, New York to Los Angeles

JetBlue Airways today announces an increase from two to four daily nonstop flights from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) beginning July 1, 2010, providing more options and more value to coast-to-coast travelers. In addition to its LAX service, JetBlue offers the only nonstop service from the East Coast to two other L.A. Basin airports : Burbank and Long Beach.
JetBlue launched twice daily service from both JFK and Boston’s Logan International Airport to LAX on June 17, 2009, and based on the successful launch of service and strong customer demand for JetBlue’s premium low-fare product, is pleased to double service from New York (expanding to four daily flights) while maintaining its popular Boston route with convenient twice-daily service.

American Eagle Airlines Begin Flight Service Between O’Hare International Airport and Tri-Cities Regional Airport

American Eagle Airlines, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, will begin nonstop jet service between Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Tri-Cities Regional Airport (TRI) beginning July 2. The Tri-Cities airport is centrally located between the cities of Bristol, Kingsport and Johnson City, Tenn., and serves the communities of Northeast Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, and Western North Carolina. Eagle will operate the service with 44-seat Embraer ERJ-140 jets.
